While Dynamo Moscow head coach Sandro Schwarz initially described the situation as minor muscular discomfort, the player has remained absent from the squad for recent league matches against Rubin Kazan, CSKA Moscow, and Akhmat Grozny, as well as a cup match against Akhmat Grozny. Chávez has not played since September 17, totaling only 408 minutes of action across eight appearances this season.

His absence has fueled speculation regarding a potential return to Mexico's Liga MX, with rumors linking him to clubs such as Club América.
