Luis Cárdenas exits MVS Noticias after 16-year tenure

Journalist Luis Cárdenas announced that his final broadcast on MVS Noticias will air on 7 August, ending a 16‑year career with the Grupo MVS radio network. He began at MVS in 2010, became the host of the Second Emission in 2011 and took over the flagship First Emission in 2016.

Cárdenas shared the news via his social‑media accounts, thanking listeners for the years of freedom and support. No official comment has been issued by MVS. Media outlets have speculated that the departure may be linked to low audience ratings, a shortage of advertisers, or possible disagreements with Alejandro Vargas, president of Grupo MVS’s board of directors.
