Luis César Bueno proposes labor and legal reforms in Goiás

Luis César Bueno, the Workers' Party (PT) candidate for the governorship of Goiás, has outlined several policy proposals during his campaign. During a meeting with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-GO), Bueno advocated for an institutional partnership to address challenges facing lawyers, specifically regarding the payment of Small Value Requisitions (RPV) and professional prerogatives.

Bueno proposed increasing the budget allocated to court-ordered debts (precatórios) from 1.5% to 3% and expressed a commitment to negotiate a payment schedule aimed at a maximum delay of one year. He also suggested a tax compensation policy through these payments.

On the topic of labor rights, Bueno expressed support for transitioning from a 6x1 work schedule to a 5x2 schedule, which would guarantee two days of rest per week. He aligned his stance with recent discussions by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, noting that reduced work hours would benefit workers' well-being and help balance domestic responsibilities, particularly for women.
