Luis de Llano refuses court‑ordered public apology to Sasha Sokol

Mexico's Supreme Court of Justice upheld a civil judgment against television producer Luis de Llano for moral damages stemming from a relationship with singer Sasha Sokol when she was 14 and he was 39. The ruling, confirmed in June 2025, ordered De Llano to issue a public apology, pay an indemnity and complete a sexual‑violence‑prevention course.

As of March 2026, De Llano has not delivered the apology. He tells reporters the legal appeal (amparo) he filed prevents him from complying, saying he has "turned the page" on the case and cannot discuss it further. Sasha Sokol continues to press for compliance, noting that more than a year has passed since the judgment and that the court‑ordered measures remain unfulfilled. The case is being cited as a precedent for sexual‑abuse claims involving minors in Mexico.
