Luis Dyer denies links to Fernando Cerimedo

Peruvian Health Minister Luis Dyer has denied any connection to Argentine consultant Fernando Cerimedo during the 2026 electoral campaign. Dyer stated he has never met Cerimedo, nor has he had any communications with him via chat or other means.

These denials follow reports regarding a WhatsApp group named ‘Defensores del Perú,’ which was linked to a Fuerza Popular initiative to register citizens for vote monitoring. Dyer, who managed the national team of poll watchers for Fuerza Popular during the second round, also dismissed claims of a relationship with Giselle Giannotti.

Regarding calls from opposition benches to form an investigative commission into Cerimedo’s potential involvement in Keiko Fujimori’s campaign, Dyer downplayed the initiative, suggesting it is up to the promoting sectors to decide whether to pursue such an investigation.
