Luis Garrido appointed director of LA OPINIÓN-EL CORREO DE ZAMORA

Prensa Ibérica has appointed Luis Garrido Herrero as the new director of the newspaper LA OPINIÓN-EL CORREO DE ZAMORA. Garrido, who previously served as the publication's deputy director, takes over the role to lead digital transformation efforts, develop new content, and oversee the evolution of the newsroom.

Garrido succeeds Begoña Galache Fonseca, who is retiring after 37 years of service, including the last three years as the newspaper's director. The leadership change comes during a period of significant transformation within the press sector, emphasizing the need for committed local journalism with a global perspective.
