Luis Lara advances to World Series with Milwaukee Brewers

Venezuelan outfielder Luis Lara is participating in the World Series with the Milwaukee Brewers after a breakout 2026 season. The 21-year-old, who was Milwaukee's fifth-ranked prospect at the start of the year, signed a seven-year, $31 million contract extension in June before making his Major League debut.

Lara has played 61 regular-season games and five postseason games this year. He recently played a key role in the Brewers' victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, recording a decisive RBI single. The Brewers currently hold a 1-0 lead in the World Series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
