Luis Miguel Ramis appointed head coach of Osasuna
Club Atlético Osasuna announced that Luis Miguel Ramis will take charge as head coach for the next two seasons, with his contract running until 30 June 2028. His official presentation took place on a Wednesday afternoon at the El Sadar stadium. Ramis arrives after a successful spell at Burgos CF, where his side posted the best defensive record in Spain’s Segunda División and amassed 72 points, although they missed the promotion playoffs.
The 55‑year‑old has built his résumé in Spanish football, beginning in Real Madrid’s youth system and later managing Castilla, Almería, Albacete, Tenerife, Espanyol and Burgos. Known for a pragmatic, defensively‑solid style that favours a compact 4‑4‑2 shape, quick counter‑attacks and set‑piece preparation, he is expected to bring organisation and resilience to Osasuna’s first‑division campaign.
Ramis becomes the club’s first LaLiga‑experienced manager, succeeding Alessio Lisci, and will be supported by a technical team that includes assistants José Manuel Gil, Iván Madroño, fitness coach Miguel Ángel Fernández and analyst José Fajardo.
