Luis Miguel headlines Coca-Cola's 100‑year Mexico campaign
Mexican singer Luis Miguel returned to the public eye as the face of Coca‑Cola's new commercial celebrating the brand's 100‑year presence in Mexico. The one‑minute spot, released in early August 2026, features the singer drinking Coca‑Cola, singing “El Viajero,” and delivering the line “México es y será por siempre mi lugar en el mundo.” It revives the partnership first seen in the 1991 “Vive la sensación” campaign, marking a 35‑year reunion.
The appearance follows weeks of speculation about Miguel's health after reports of a possible heart surgery in New York. His upbeat presence in the ad has been interpreted as a reassurance to fans. Around the same time, he was photographed on a beach in Los Cabos with his partner, Spanish designer Paloma Cuevas, who wore a hat emblazoned with “México,” a gesture seen as a tribute to the country.
Separately, media outlets reported that Miguel is negotiating the purchase of a luxury mansion in Madrid's La Finca district, valued at about €12 million, suggesting he is consolidating a residence in Spain where he often stays with Cuevas.
