Querétaro launches Coinversión Social program to subsidize household goods
The State Secretary of Development Social, Luis Nava, led the delivery of subsidized household products under the Coinversión Social program in the Querétaro municipalities of Pedro Escobedo and San Juan del Río. The scheme, authorized by Governor Mauricio Kuri and implemented together with the Congregación Mariana Trinitaria, requires beneficiaries to contribute a modest amount toward the purchase of items such as new stoves, allowing families to upgrade essential equipment at reduced cost. Participants reported tangible benefits, for example a resident acquiring a new stove for 3,500 pesos after two decades of use. The program aims to strengthen family economies, promote social development, and involve local peace promoters in improving living standards across the state.
