Paula Echevarría's father Luis Ángel Echevarría dies at 76

Luis Ángel Echevarría Muñiz, 76, died on 30 July in Gijón, Asturias. The former railway worker and welder was the father of Spanish actress Paula Echevarría. A public viewing was set up at the Candás funeral home, and the funeral took place on 31 July at the San Félix parish church in Candás, after which his remains were cremated in Avilés.

Paula attended the services with her partner, former footballer Miguel Torres, her mother Elena Colondrón, brother Luis Manuel and her daughter Daniella. The family received condolences from fans, colleagues and media. No cause of death was disclosed. The loss was noted as occurring just before Paula’s own birthday and her daughter Daniella’s 18th birthday, adding emotional weight to the family’s mourning.
