Luis Rengifo provides offensive boost to San Diego Padres

Luis Rengifo has emerged as a key contributor for the San Diego Padres following the season-ending injury to Ramon Laureano. After being released by the Milwaukee Brewers in June 2026, Rengifo signed a minor league contract with San Diego on June 26.

Since joining the Padres' major league roster on July 8, Rengifo has significantly improved the team's offensive production. In 30 games, he is batting .311 with a .403 on-base percentage and a .447 slugging percentage, providing much-needed stability in the left field position.
