Luis Vadalá's family to sue Moria Casán and Netflix

The family of the late businessman Luis Vadalá is preparing legal action against Moria Casán and Netflix regarding his portrayal in a new biographical series. Ingrid Vadalá, Luis’s daughter, intends to seek a rectification of his image, claiming the production depicts him negatively as a person with cocaine addictions and as someone who defrauded Casán of $2 million.

The legal claim seeks to address moral damages and lost profits due to the unauthorized use of his name and story. The family stated they are not seeking to suspend the series, which is currently experiencing high viewership, but rather to clear his memory and reputation.

Sofía Galafue, Casán’s daughter, commented on the controversy, suggesting the series was actually “very good” to Vadalá and noting that she does not expect to be personally involved in any lawsuits. She also indicated that her personal experiences with Vadalá might differ from the accounts presented by his family.
