Luisa Stefani reaches US Open women's doubles semifinals

Brazilian tennis player Luisa Stefani and Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski have advanced to the women's doubles semifinals at the US Open. The duo secured their spot after defeating Chinese players Jiang Xinyu and Zhang Shuai in straight sets, 6/3 and 6/4.

This achievement marks the third time Stefani has reached the semifinals at the US Open. The partnership, currently ranked 4th and 3rd in the WTA doubles rankings respectively, has had a strong 2026 season, reaching at least the semifinals in all four Grand Slam tournaments, including a final appearance at Wimbledon.

Stefani and Dabrowski are scheduled to face American players Robin Montgomery and Ashlyn Krueger in the semifinals. A victory in the tournament could potentially elevate Stefani to the number two spot in the WTA doubles rankings.
