Luisa Torsi confirmed as President of ARTI Puglia

The Puglia Regional Government has confirmed Professor Luisa Torsi as the President of the Board of Directors for ARTI, the regional agency for technology, technological transfer, and innovation. Torsi will be joined on the board by Domenico Nisi and Giovanna Verroca.

The appointments follow a renewal process initiated through a public call for candidates, which received 179 applications, 167 of which were deemed eligible. The terms for these positions are three years, with the possibility of a single renewal, provided they do not exceed the duration of the regional council.

Luisa Torsi is a Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Bari Aldo Moro and a member of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. An internationally recognized researcher in bioelectronic sensors and innovative diagnostic technologies, she has authored nearly 300 scientific publications and holds 14 patents. ARTI serves a strategic role in supporting regional economic development, research, and the connection between innovation and the production system in Puglia.
