Luisito Comunica denounces Eduardo Feinmann's anti‑Mexican remarks

Argentine journalist Eduardo Feinmann sparked controversy during World Cup 2026 coverage by stating on television that he “detests Mexicans” and alleging that Mexican cartel influence affected Ecuador’s knockout match. The comments were widely condemned as xenophobic.

Mexican YouTuber Luisito Comunica, who has over 45 million YouTube subscribers, responded on Instagram and other platforms, calling Feinmann “an idiot, ignorant and an imbécil,” defending Argentina, and warning that the journalist’s words were fuelling a “wave of hate and racism.” He urged Feinmann to “open a book” to broaden his perspective.

The backlash attracted statements from Mexican officials, including President Claudia Sheinbaum, who labeled Feinmann a “pseudoperiodista.” Feinmann later issued an apology, saying his remarks were not intended to be xenophobic.
