Luiz Carlos Bohn Reappointed Leader of Rio Grande do Sul Commerce Federation

Luiz Carlos Bohn has been reconfirmed as president of Fecomércio‑RS for the 2026‑2030 term. He was sworn in at a festive ceremony in the federation’s headquarters in Rio Grande do Sul. Bohn said the federation will keep fighting illegal trade, reducing the "blusinha" tax and advocating for lower taxes, fiscal balance, economic freedom and legal certainty for merchants.

He outlined new investments in education, innovation, professional qualification, tourism and research, including the completion of the José Roberto Tadros School and a dedicated unit for free Sesc and Senac programs. The federation also plans to strengthen its union network to better represent the state’s businesses, which account for more than half of the state’s GDP and generate about 1.7 million formal jobs.
