Luizianne Lins presents environmental and social platform for Senate

Luizianne Lins, a candidate for the Federal Senate representing Ceará, has presented a platform focused on environmental protection, sustainability, climate justice, and the care economy. Her proposals include defending the Caatinga biome and promoting a responsible energy transition.

Key environmental initiatives include legislation to ensure that large-scale wind and solar energy projects in Ceará provide social benefits to local communities and perform mandatory environmental recovery of affected areas. Her maritime energy regulations aim to respect artisanal fishing traditions. Additionally, she proposes modernizing ports, such as Pecém, and creating national funds to combat desertification in the semi-arid regions of Ceará.

Lins also advocates for agroecology, the end of pesticide authorization in Brazil, green taxation, and subsidies for organic family farming. Her social platform includes the creation of a Statute for Caregivers.
