Luján hosts Gran Premio Ciudad de Luján to open cycling season

The Gran Premio Ciudad de Luján marked the start of the 2026 Buenos Aires road cycling season, attracting approximately 700 cyclists to the city of Luján. The competition took place on a 3-kilometer street circuit located on Nuestra Señora de Luján Avenue.

In the men’s premier category, Matías Cedeira of Team Murray-CEC secured first place, followed by Elbio Alborzen of Vanguardia in second and Octavio Mangiaterra of Team Fornara in third. The top five finishers were completed by Uriel Tolosa and Leonardo Cobarrubia.

In the women’s category, Valentina Luna and Cala Bocchino of D’amico CCN led the results, followed by Lorena Leroy, Daniela Jobse, and Daniela Elisondo. The event featured various prominent teams, including Rider Factory, Municipalidad de Lanús, and Sunpeed.
