Luka Bošković finishes fifth in European long jump final
Serbian athletes Luka Bošković and Armin Sinančević secured places in the finals of the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. Bošković, a 20-year-old long jumper, reached the final after a strong qualifying performance, including a jump of 8.33 meters, though the mark was affected by wind. In the long jump final, Bošković finished in fifth place with a best jump of 8.08 meters. The gold medal was won by Greece’s Miltiadis Tentoglou.
In the shot put discipline, Armin Sinančević qualified for the final with a throw of 20.20 meters in his third attempt.
In contrast, Bosnian shot putter Mesud Pezer failed to advance to the final, finishing 19th overall in the qualifications with a single valid throw of 18.89 meters.
