Luka Doncic discusses MVP ambitions following trade to Lakers

Luka Doncic has expressed his desire to win an NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, noting that while a championship remains his primary goal, winning the MVP would be a significant achievement. Speaking to reporters, the Los Angeles Lakers star emphasized that individual success is tied to team performance.

Doncic's comments follow his move to the Lakers, a team now built around him alongside Austin Reaves and Walker Kessler. His candidacy for the award comes after a season where he led the league in scoring with 33.5 points per game, though he finished fourth in MVP voting.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green expressed skepticism regarding Doncic's chances of winning the award, citing what he described as ‘greatness fatigue.’ Green suggested that Doncic might be overlooked due to the predictable nature of his team's seeding, despite his high statistical output.
