Los Angeles Lakers announce Albert jersey patch sponsorship and roster overhaul for 2026-27

The Los Angeles Lakers have confirmed a new jersey‑patch partnership with Albert, a personal‑finance application, beginning with the 2026‑27 season. The deal replaces Bibigo and is expected to generate more than $30 million per year, boosting the franchise’s sponsorship revenue by at least $10 million. Jeanie Buss said, “We are extremely proud to display Albert’s logo on our iconic uniforms and introduce their services to our fans.”

During the same offseason the Lakers completed a major roster rebuild. Luka Doncic remains the focal point after LeBron James departed. The team added eight players – Walker Kessler, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Quentin Grimes, Collin Sexton, Jaden Hardy, Cameron Carr, Kevon Looney and Ziaire Williams – and re‑signed Austin Reaves to a four‑year, $185 million contract. Luka Doncic expressed excitement, stating, “I think we have a really good team and I’m very excited to start the next season.” The franchise is also monitoring free‑agent targets such as Jonathan Kuminga and former All‑Star DeMar DeRozan.
