Luka Doncic Invites Lakers Roster to Slovenia for Summer Minicamp

Luka Doncic has invited the entire Los Angeles Lakers roster, including two‑way players, to Slovenia for a preseason minicamp in August 2026. He will cover the team’s travel costs and use the trip to combine preparation for the 2026 NBA season with time spent with his two daughters, after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The invitation comes as the Lakers reshape the squad, adding Walker Kessler via trade and signing Quentin Grimes, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Collin Sexton, Kevon Looney, Zaire Williams and Matisse Thybulle, along with recent draft picks. Doncic expressed enthusiasm about the new cast, saying he is “excited” to work with the group and looking forward to the camp.

Doncic, who has been in Europe during the offseason, hopes the Slovenia minicamp will help the team bond and prepare for the upcoming NBA campaign.
