Luka Modrić and Harry Redknapp reunite after Europa League match
Luka Modrić and former manager Harry Redknapp met following a Europa League third-round match where Bournemouth defeated AC Milan 3-0. Redknapp, who coached Modrić at Tottenham Hotspur for four years between 2008 and 2012, shared a photo of the reunion on Instagram, praising the Croatian midfielder as a “fantastic player and an even better man.”
Modrić, who watched the match from the bench, responded to the post by stating it was great to see him. The match at the Vitality Stadium featured goals from Justin Kluivert, Marcus Tavernier, and Amine Adli. AC Milan played with ten men from the 27th minute after goalkeeper Mike Maignan received a direct red card.
Redknapp played a significant role in Modrić’s early career in the Premier League, supporting the player during his transition from Dinamo Zagreb to London. Under Redknapp’s leadership, Tottenham secured a fourth-place finish in the 2009/10 season, earning qualification for the Champions League.
