Luka Modrić returns to Europa League after 15 years

Luka Modrić has returned to the UEFA Europa League for the first time in nearly 15 years. The 41-year-old Croatian midfielder appeared as a substitute in the 61st minute for AC Milan during their 4-0 victory over RB Salzburg.

His previous appearance in the competition dates back to November 30, 2011, when he played for Tottenham Hotspur in a match against the Greek side PAOK. In that historic encounter, PAOK secured a victory in North London.
