Luka Modric sets assist record for AC Milan at age 41

Luka Modric has set a new Serie A record by providing the most assists by a player over the age of 40 since the league returned to a 20-team format. At 41 years old, the Croatian midfielder has already recorded four assists through eight matchdays, surpassing the previous record of three held by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Modric remains a central tactical figure for AC Milan under manager Ruben Amorim, providing leadership and rhythm to the squad. Due to his age and the physical demands of the season, Amorim may consider resting Modric during the upcoming match against Bologna to ensure he is prepared for the high-stakes derby against Inter Milan.
