Luka Modrić faces uncertain club future as Milan stint ends, noted for modest Bentley car

Croatian midfielder Luka Modrić left Real Madrid after a 13‑year spell and spent the 2024‑25 season at AC Milan on a one‑year deal with an optional extra year. Milan’s failure to qualify for the Champions League and a summer overhaul that saw Massimiliano Allegri dismissed left the club in flux, and Modrić’s contract expires on 30 June. Former Croatia star Davor Šuker told Radio Marca that Modrić is likely to return to Real Madrid in some capacity after the World Cup, though the exact role remains unclear.

Off the pitch, Modrić’s vehicle choices have attracted attention. He is regularly seen driving a Bentley Continental GT, valued at over €200,000, reflecting a preference for refined, understated luxury rather than the hypercars favoured by many peers. Earlier in his career, he benefitted from Real Madrid’s partnership with the Volkswagen Group, receiving Audi models such as the Q7 and Q8 as part of the club’s sponsorship programme.
