Luka Skoric receives NCAA clearance for San Diego State
Luka Skoric, a 6-foot-9 forward from Zagreb, Croatia, has received official NCAA certification to compete for the San Diego State Aztecs men’s basketball team starting in the 2026-27 season. Skoric’s clearance completes a trio of European professional players signed by the program during the offseason.
Skoric joins fellow European recruits David Torresani and Luca Vincini, both from Italy, who have already been certified. The recruitment of these players is part of a roster overhaul led by coach Brian Dutcher following the team's failure to reach the NCAA Tournament in the previous season.
Skoric brings professional experience from Croatia’s A-1 Liga, having played for KK Cibona and GKK Sibenk. He has also represented the Croatian national team in 12 international appearances between 2021 and 2023. While cleared to play, reports indicate Skoric has been managing a groin injury and is not expected to participate in the team's exhibition opener against Arizona on October 16.
