Luka Vuskovic discusses Tottenham exit and Brighton move

Croatian defender Luka Vuskovic has addressed his departure from Tottenham Hotspur following his transfer to Brighton & Hove Albion. The young centre-back expressed gratitude for the developmental support provided by Tottenham during his teenage years and his various loan spells, stating, “Tottenham really helped me when I was a teenager. For two years I’ve been with them and the loans and they helped me a lot. I’m really grateful to them.”

Despite his appreciation for his former club, Vuskovic admitted he remains uncertain as to why Tottenham decided to sell him. He emphasized that his move to Brighton was driven by the club's long-standing interest in him, noting, “In the end, I don’t know why Tottenham didn’t want me. But Brighton believed in me.”

Vuskovic has made a strong start to his career at Brighton, leading to reported interest from major clubs including Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
