Lukas Graham releases new folk-inspired album ‘Good Times’

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Lukas Graham has released his new 13-track studio album, ‘Good Times’, via Virgin Music Group. The project marks a stylistic shift toward the Celtic and folk storytelling traditions of the artist’s upbringing in Copenhagen.

A central element of the album is the track ‘Before You Go’, a song written in 2019 for a longtime friend named Thomas. Following Thomas’s battle with chronic illness and subsequent brain surgery, the song was performed publicly for the first time at his funeral. The track reflects themes of memory, grief, and friendship that permeate the record.

To capture a traditional sound, the album was recorded in Nashville and New York featuring acoustic instrumentation from musicians such as Michael McGoldrick, Sam Grisman, and Stuart Duncan. The release coincides with Lukas Graham joining Ed Sheeran as a special guest on select North American dates of the 2026 ‘Loop Tour’.
