Lukas Podolski denies Górnik Zabrze interest in Łukasz Skorupski

Lukas Podolski, the owner of Górnik Zabrze, has dismissed media speculation regarding a potential return of goalkeeper Łukasz Skorupski to the Polish club. Despite rumors suggesting the veteran Polish international might move to Zabrze after his time in Italy, Podolski stated on X that the club is not considering signing him.

Skorupski, who has played for Bologna since 2018, faces an uncertain future in Serie A. His current contract is set to expire in eight months, and reports indicate Bologna plans to strengthen its squad with three transfers in January, including a goalkeeper. The 35-year-old has seen reduced playing time this season, competing for a starting spot with 18-year-old Massimo Pessina.

In addition to club uncertainty, Skorupski’s position within the Polish national team has also shifted, as he was not included in the recent squad call-ups for the September-October training camp.
