Country music artists Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean made a surprise appearance in the White House briefing room on Thursday. The visit occurred ahead of their co-headlining ‘Double Down Tour’ stop at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

During the lighthearted visit, the singers took turns at the podium in a mock press briefing. Bryan jokingly addressed a question regarding Texas agriculture and the use of sterile male flies to combat screwworms, stating, ‘I think the screwworms are screwed.’

The White House social media accounts shared the moment, joking about the impromptu appearance in light of press secretary Karoline Leavitt’s upcoming departure. The visit was described as a personal, nonpolitical event between friends.
