Luke Combs reaches 21st career number one on Country Airplay chart

Country music star Luke Combs has achieved his 21st number one hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with the song ‘Be By You’. This milestone ties him with artists Thomas Rhett and Keith Urban for the most chart-toppers in the history of the Country Airplay chart since its inception in 1990.

‘Be By You’ is the third single from his album ‘The Way I Am’ to reach the top spot, following ‘Back In The Saddle’ and ‘Sleepless in a Hotel Room’. Notably, the track is one of only three chart-toppers in Combs’ career that he did not write, as he holds writing credits on 19 of the 22 songs on the album.

In addition to his musical achievements, Combs is expanding into voice acting with a role in the Disney animated series ‘Big City Greens’. He voices Rusty Twang, a character modeled after a country superstar, and performs the song ‘Watch Out for the Greens’ for the show’s fifth season.
