Luke Daley booked into Pima County jail amid Nancy Guthrie disappearance investigation
Luke Daley, a 37-year-old Tucson resident previously questioned during the investigation into the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, has been booked into the Pima County jail. While reports suggest the booking involves drug and weapons charges with a $22,500 bond, authorities have not officially linked this detention to the ongoing search for Guthrie.
Guthrie, the mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, went missing from her Catalina Foothills home on January 31, 2026. In February, law enforcement and FBI agents executed search warrants at Daley’s residence, located approximately two miles from Guthrie’s home, and seized his vehicle. Daley was released at that time without charges.
Daley has repeatedly denied any involvement in the disappearance and has rejected social media speculation identifying him as the masked figure, referred to as the “Porch Guy,” captured on Guthrie’s doorbell camera. His attorney has stated that Daley has no connection to the kidnapping. Despite public calls from former law enforcement officials for a wider manhunt regarding the unidentified masked suspect, investigators have not named Daley as a suspect in the case.
