Luke Hodge to skydive for Telethon fundraising
AFL commentator Luke Hodge will perform a skydive from over 10,000 feet above Rottnest Island to raise funds for Telethon. The stunt is part of a series of challenges to support children and young people across Western Australia.
Hodge will participate in an ‘Amazing Race’ style challenge to support commentator Kane Cornes, who is attempting to run two marathons in five days. Cornes will first run the Perth Running Festival Marathon before completing a 42.2km challenge on Rottnest Island.
Other participants in the fundraising efforts include Western Australian Premier Roger Cook and various media personalities. The total funds raised will be announced during the 59th annual Telethon, scheduled for October 17-18 at RAC Arena.
