Luke Hodge wins Pride of Britain award for Alstock fundraising

Luke Hodge, a firefighter at Bodmin Community Fire Station, has been named the West Country’s 2026 Pride of Britain Fundraiser of the Year. The award recognizes his nearly 20 years of work organizing the Alstock Festival.

Established in 2007 in memory of his late father, Cornish musician Al Hodge, the festival has raised more than £100,000 for local and national charities. Hodge accepted the award on behalf of the entire Alstock team, paying tribute to the festival's original members, Dick Gynn, Keith Chapman, and John Pearn, who helped establish the event.
