Luke Humphries wins Players Championship 28

Luke Humphries won the 28th Players Championship of the year, securing his third title in this series. In the final, Humphries defeated Brendan Dolan with an 8-6 victory. The match remained closely contested, but Humphries managed to break Dolan's leg at a 3-3 tie and maintained a lead through a 109-finish to reach a 5-3 advantage.

Luke Littler made significant progress toward qualifying for the Players Championship Finals. Despite a narrow escape in the second round against Benjamin Pratnemer, Littler defeated several opponents, including Martin Schindler and Krzysztof Ratajski, before falling 7-4 to Brendan Dolan in the semifinals. Littler remains outside the top 64 and requires further strong performances in upcoming tournaments to secure a spot in the finals.

Belgian players Mike De Decker and Kim Huybrechts both reached the quarterfinals. In their head-to-head matchup, De Decker narrowly defeated Huybrechts 6-5. De Decker subsequently lost 7-4 to the eventual winner, Humphries, in the semifinals.
