Luke Kuechly Inducted into Pro Football Hall of Fame
Linebacker Luke Kuechly, who spent his entire eight‑year NFL career with the Carolina Panthers, was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday in Canton, Ohio. At 28, Kuechly retired early because of concussions, yet he earned Defensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, five All‑Pro selections and helped lead the Panthers to Super Bowl 50.
Former high‑school coach Steve Specht recalled Kuechly’s obsessive film study routine, noting how the future Hall of Famer would watch, pause, and replay game tape repeatedly to dissect opponents. Former Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott praised Kuechly as possibly the best linebacker ever, while former teammates and coaches shared stories of his impact on and off the field during a week of tribute shows leading up to the ceremony.
