Luke Littler eliminated from PDC World Youth Championship semi-finals

Luke Littler, the world number one and two-time senior PDC World Champion, has been eliminated in the semi-finals of the PDC World Youth Championship for the second consecutive year. In a closely contested match in Wigan, Littler fell 6-5 to Cam Crabtree. Despite hitting high finishes, including a 117 checkout to level the score at 5-5, Littler was unable to secure the deciding leg.

Crabtree will advance to the final to face Germany’s Jan Schmidt, who secured his place by defeating Charlie Manby 6-3 in the other semi-final. The championship final is scheduled to take place on November 29 in Minehead during the Players Championship Finals.

Littler’s participation in the youth tournament drew mixed reactions from fans and commentators, with some questioning the benefit of competing in junior events following his recent exit from the World Grand Prix. Following the loss, Littler congratulated Crabtree on social media, noting it was a good day of practice.
