Luke Molyneux signs for Salford City from Doncaster Rovers

Doncaster Rovers winger Luke Molyneux, 28, has completed a transfer to Salford City after undergoing a medical. The move was confirmed with an undisclosed fee and a multi‑year contract at the Peninsula Stadium.

Molyneux made over 200 appearances for Doncaster, scoring 40 goals and providing 37 assists, and played a key role in their 2024‑25 League Two title‑winning campaign with 16 goals and 12 assists. He turned down a contract extension at Doncaster, opting to join Salford, whose ambition is promotion under Australian manager Peter Cklamovski.

Upon signing, Molyneux expressed excitement about the new coach’s style and the club’s promotion aims, saying he wants to “set up as many goals as possible” and help “get the fans off their feet.”
