Luke Muscat's Normal Golf Game achieves 98% positive reviews on Steam

Luke Muscat, the designer behind hits such as Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, has released a new solo project titled ‘Normal Golf Game’ on Steam. Within 48 hours of its launch, the game has achieved a 98% ‘Very Positive’ rating from users.

Despite the commercial success, Muscat expressed significant personal strain during the development process. In a video shared on YouTube, he described the project as the most demanding of his 20-year career, noting that he had been ‘working myself into oblivion’ and pushing himself to the point of exhaustion. He stated a need to change his work methods to avoid such unsustainable practices in future projects.

The game itself is described as a chaotic and unconventional golf experience. While it initially presents itself as a relaxing 18-hole simulator, the gameplay shifts into a bizarre and unpredictable experience once players attempt to leave the course.
