Speaking on the 'Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robison' podcast, Green revealed that Perry maintained a specific habit of carrying balloons while traveling on airplanes. If Perry heard a child crying during a flight, he would blow up a balloon and present it to the child to provide comfort and distraction.

Green described Perry as someone who was not concerned with public opinion and was deeply understanding. These stories of Perry's selfless gestures, including helping neighbors and strangers, were recounted by Green and Perry's family following the actor's death in 2019.
