Luke Tuckwell Holds Yellow Jersey in Tour Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes

Australian rider Luke Tuckwell (Red Bull‑BORA‑Hansgrohe) took the overall lead of the Tour Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes after finishing third on stage 6, which was won by Belgian Maxim Van Gils. Tuckwell was awarded the yellow leader's jersey and entered stage 7 still in front, with a gap of about 2 minutes 34 seconds over Italian Matteo Jorgenson (Visma Lease a Bike) and Isaac del Toro close behind.

Tuckwell said the support from fans was overwhelming and acknowledged the difficulty of defending the jersey on the remaining climbs, noting that the final stages will be decisive for his first professional season.
