Lul Timm detained at hospital in newly released King Von shooting footage

Newly released police bodycam footage has surfaced online showing the immediate aftermath of the 2020 shooting that killed rapper King Von (Dayvon Bennett). The video captures Timothy “Lul Timm” Leeks being placed in handcuffs by an officer while receiving treatment in a hospital bed at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

The footage shows the moment investigators were still piecing together the events that occurred outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge on November 6, 2020. During the recording, officers are heard discussing the developing situation as they learn that King Von had been pronounced dead.

The altercation involving multiple groups resulted in several people being shot. Leeks, who was also wounded in the incident, was subsequently charged with felony murder. However, the case did not proceed to trial; attorney Noah Pines confirmed in August 2023 that the felony murder charges were dismissed before an indictment was issued.
