Brazil: President Lula faces high disapproval in recent polls

Recent polling data indicates significant challenges for the administration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in Brazil. An AtlasIntel/Bloomberg survey shows that 53% of voters disapprove of Lula's personal performance, while 45.4% approve. Regarding his administration, 50.9% rate the government as 'bad or terrible,' compared to 40.4% who rate it as 'great or good.'

Specific policy areas face high levels of dissatisfaction. An Ipsos-Ipec survey highlights that 54% of voters view the government's management of public spending and budget cuts negatively. Additionally, 51% of respondents expressed negative views regarding inflation control and public security. In contrast, education and the fight against hunger and poverty received relatively less negative feedback, though they still maintain significant unfavorable ratings.

On the issue of online betting, the AtlasIntel/Bloomberg poll reports that 36% of voters hold the Lula government primarily responsible for the proliferation of 'bets' in the country. Furthermore, 59.9% of those surveyed believe that online gambling brings more harm than benefit to society.
