Lula campaign incorporates Ceará representation for second round
The presidential campaign of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is expanding its strategic team for the second round by including Chagas Vieira, a journalist and political ally of Minister Camilo Santana. Vieira, who has served as Chief of Staff for the Ceará state government under multiple administrations, will focus on political articulation and communication.
This strategic shift moves away from the first-round emphasis on Lula's past legacy toward a platform addressing current daily challenges and future proposals. The campaign is also increasing its focus on critiques of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro.
Data from the first round highlights the importance of the Ceará region, particularly Cariri, where Lula saw his strongest performance. Eight of the ten municipalities in the state with the highest percentage of votes for Lula are located in the Cariri region, with Potengi leading at 84.39%.
