Lula outlines goals for Brazil's development and social justice

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has outlined his administration's goals to transform Brazil into a developed and socially just nation. He highlighted an economic model centered on income distribution, job creation, and wage increases, alongside efforts to boost productivity and expand credit access.

Lula noted that Brazil has become the third-largest destination globally for foreign direct investment and expects record-breaking export numbers this year. Regarding labor, he proposed ending the ‘6x1 system’ to ensure workers receive two days of rest per week, noting that such changes are essential for reducing the domestic burden often placed on women.

Furthermore, the President emphasized a commitment to gender equality and safety, stating the goal is to build a country where women can hold positions of power without restriction and live free from the threat of violence.
