Lula visits São Paulo to inaugurate hospital wing and hold campaign events

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva conducted a political and institutional agenda in the state of São Paulo, visiting Barretos and São José do Rio Preto. In Barretos, Lula and Health Minister Alexandre Padilha visited the Hospital de Amor to inaugurate the Modern Rehabilitation Directory (DREAM). This new 8,000-square-meter facility is designed to provide specialized outpatient care, therapies, and surgical support for cancer patients dealing with physical or sensory sequelae.

In São José do Rio Preto, Lula participated in a campaign event alongside Fernando Haddad. During his speech, Lula criticized Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, questioning his administration's infrastructure deliveries, and advocated for Haddad’s candidacy for governor. Lula also addressed social issues, including women's rights and the importance of the SUS (Unified Health System), while mentioning his intention to discuss the Brazilian Pix payment system with Donald Trump at the UN.

Additionally, Lula visited the new UFSCar campus in São José do Rio Preto, where he emphasized the importance of federal investment in education. Senator candidate Marina Silva also spoke in the region, calling for a broad political front to support Lula's reelection and protect democratic institutions.
