Fábio Luís Lula da Silva faces multiple investigations in Brazil and scrutiny in Spain

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has publicly stated that his son, Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, will be held accountable if found guilty in ongoing investigations. Despite expressing confidence in his son's innocence, the President confirmed he has instructed legal counsel not to request the closure of the inquiries, emphasizing that there should be no special privileges.

The Brazilian Federal Police are currently conducting three separate investigations involving Fábio Luís. These probes include suspicions of influence peddling and corruption related to negotiations within the Ministry of Health regarding medicinal cannabis, as well as potential irregularities involving Dataprev and the INSS. These investigations have been authorized by Supreme Federal Court ministers André Mendonça and Flávio Dino.

Parallel to the legal scrutiny in Brazil, questions have been raised regarding Fábio Luís's company, Synapta SL, registered in Madrid, Spain. While a lawyer has requested an investigation by Spanish prosecutors into whether the company serves merely as a tax address, the defense maintains that the firm is legally registered but currently inactive and has not yet commenced commercial operations in Spain.
