Luma self-serve gelato shop opens in Brisbane

Luma, a self-serve gelato business founded by Andreea Corban and Ilias Vitkind, has opened a second location in Newstead, Brisbane. The new shop is situated in the LIV Anura building on Skyring Terrace.

Following the success of their first location in Mooloolaba, which opened in December 2025, the owners implemented a self-serve model to allow customers to customize their portions and toppings. The Newstead venue features 12 flavors and 30 toppings, utilizing six modified Space self-serve ice cream machines to provide fresh gelato on-site.

The interior design was handled by Barbie Payton of ONYX Studio, featuring a baby blue color scheme, cream vertical finger tiles, banquette seating, and brass fixtures.
